Linda (Burley) Smith passed away at home in Port Orchard on Sunday, September 28, 2008 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 58, born on June 24, 1950 in Bellingham, WA to Vivian (Jacobson) and John C. Burley. Linda was raised in Bellingham and graduated from Bellingham High School in 1968. She was a charter member of the Bellingham High School Alumni Band and enjoyed flower gardening. She is survived by her husband Ron, whom she married in Bellingham on June 2, 1973; sons, Mark C. Smith and friend Debbie Marker, Kyle D. Smith; parents, John and Vivian Burley; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Neil and Shirley Smith; sister, Jackie Burley and friend Mike Duty; brother, John and wife Debbie Burley; nephews, Christopher and Chad; and nieces, Brianne and Kelsey. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bellingham High School Alumni Band, P.O. Box 52, Bellingham, WA 98227 or Hospice of Kitsap County, 3100 Nw Bucklin Hill Rd., Silverdale, WA 98383 A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, October 3, 2008 at the First Baptist Church, (Flora and Commercial) with Pastor Jeff Flint officiating.
