Curtis Lane Tippie

Curtis 'Curt' Tippie was a life long resident of Whatcom County. He was born January 25, 1950. Curt attended grade school, junior high, and high school in Bellingham. He graduated in 1968. Curt worked at Bellingham Cold Storage for many years. Curt loved to go for walks and listen to 60's and 70's music. His favorite movie was "One flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest." Curt fought a life long battle with mental illness which lead to recent health issues. Curt's family loved and cared for him his whole life. Curt is survived by his father Ray C. Tippie of Bellingham; brothers Ray R. Tippie (Carol) of Blaine and Jeffery D. Tippie (Linda) of Bellingham; nieces Jen Quesada of Ferndale and Nicole Lawshe of Florida; trusted friend Linda Struck of Bellingham. The family would like to send a special Thank you to North Cascade Rehabilitation Center for their wonderful care of Curt. A graveside service will be held at Bayview Cemetery on Monday September 15, 2014 at 1:00PM. Pastor Gary Shoemaker of First Christian Church will be officiating. A reception will follow at Moles Farewell Tributes, 2465 Lakeway Dr., Bellingham.
