Hi...I know I haven't been to a reunion since 1978, but things
change and I may attend another, yet.
I've been married to my soulmate for almost 18 years and have never
regretted a day of it. I have 2 wonderful grandchildren; Hayley
Amanda Wright(1995) and Abigail Ireland Wright(2006). It's a far
easier job being a grandmother than motherhood. I just don't have
enough time with them, though. David (Hayley's dad)lives in Las
Vegas and is a middle school teacher. He is working on his second
master's degree at this time. Christopher (Abby's dad) lives in
Davenport, Iowa where he is a chemical mixer for a chemical company.
My husband, Dean, is a disabled Vietnam Vet and retired from the
Army. He works for the Navy at Bremerton Navy Shipyard as a project
materials manager on the submarine overhauls. I retired from nursing
the end of 2003 to provide more care for my mother. She lived with
me for 8 years until this last Feb., when she went to live with
my sister while she is on hospice. Increased physical difficulties,
after 36 years of nursing, has taken a toll on me, and I was unable
to continue to care for Mom. I spend my time doing card crafting,
scrapbooking, and being with my husband. We live on a beautiful
golf course, McCormick Woods; if any of you are into golf. We're
surrounded by tall trees, polite deer, frantic squirrels, an Audubon
bird preserve, and quiet. A great place for retirement. I hope to
make it to the 40th (what????) reunion next year. If anyone knows
